Free Yoga Classes

Every Thursday at 3:30 pm Community Human Services will be offering free yoga at 374 Lawn Street.  Yoga

"Yoga means union of mind, body and environment.  It is a preventive measure to activate internal energy channels for good health and healthy living."

Yoga lessons will concentrate on beginner friendly, simple postures and breathering exercises for:
a)  Complete relaxation and concentration,
b)  Weight control,
c)  Flexibility and strengthening the spine.

The lessons will involve simple and easy to adopt postures and breathing exercises to suit all ages.  The classes are free and open to the public.  Participants only need to bring a mat or a thick towel.

Calliope Emerging Legends Series:

The University of Pittsburgh Library System (ULS) and Calliope: The Pittsburgh Folk Music Society have joined together to present The Emerging Legends Series at The Cup & Chaucer, the Hillman Library’s café on the ground floor of the library.

The Emerging Legends Series is free and open to the public and features concerts
